Ballarat Region Teams

For certain events during the year, the Ballarat Region come together to form relay sides. In these cases, relay teams are selected from any members of the four senior athletics clubs in the region. This process was created as an opportunity for the Ballarat Region to enter more relay teams in events with athletes from all clubs being eligible. 

These events including 

• XCR Relays – Jells Park

• XCR Relays – Sandown 

• XCR Relays – Tan 

• Victorian State Relay Championships – Track & Field

To fairly coordinate these teams, Athletics Ballarat created a relay section policy in aim to provide a clear pathway for athletes to represent the Ballarat Region.

The policy aims to maximise the chance of securing medals while providing opportunities for all to participate in the sport
