Ballarat Little Athletics Centre is an Incorporated Association with Little Athletics Victoria who are the governing association for Little Athletics competition throughout Victoria and parts of New South Wales.
There’s something for everyone
Ballarat Little Athletics runs a summer Track & Field competition from the start of October to start of April the following year.
There are seven (7) Regions associated with Little Athletics Victoria (LAVic). Ballarat Little Athletics Centre is a member of the Western Country Region (WCR). The Regions provide a formal meeting between other centres to allow an interchange of ideas.
WCR conducts Regional Championships on behalf of LAVic in Track & Field, Relays, and Cross Country. LAVic conducts the State Relay Championships, State Combined Events Championship, State Track & Field Championships and State Cross Country Championships. All children from Under 9 age groups and above are eligble to compete in these events.

The Wendouree Athletic Club junior summer track and field season will be commencing competition will commence on Friday 11th October 2024 at the C.E Brown Reserve (Located off Norman Street) and runs each Friday night for approx. 14 rounds commencing at 6.00pm and finishes about 7:30pm.
The Wendouree Athletic Club has conducted junior competition since 1956
and proudly caters for all boys and girls from under 5 to under 14 age
groups in a family orientated atmosphere, where your children will enjoy running, throwing and jumping events each week.
Online registrations are now open and will need to be finalized by Friday 4th October 2024 for Round 1 of competition.

The Ballarat YCW Friday Night Junior Track & Field season will be kicking off on Friday 18th October at Llanberris Reserve this year.
The club will be holding a registration night on Friday 11th October at the Ballarat YCW clubrooms (Corner of York & Young Streets) from 5:30pm – 6:30pm. We encourage all new and past families to come along and have a chat with the YCW Committee regarding the junior summer season and how your child can benefit from participation.

The YCW Friday Night Junior competition is totally run by the YCW Committee and parents/guardians. If anybody who is attending can bring along extra family members to assist it would be greatly appreciated.
