What is a Track Package?

Track Fees are what athletes pay to Athletics Victoria or the Regional Athletics Centres to compete in a round of AVSL.

By extension a Track Package allows athletes to bundle up all rounds of the season into a single ‘package’ of track fees, and by doing so provides the athlete a discount and provides greater convenience each week.

There are two types of track packages an athlete can choose from, depending on where they plan to compete.

Local Ballarat Track Package:

For athletes who only wish to compete in Ballarat, the Ballarat Track Package is free entry to all AVSL round in Ballarat ONLY

Athletics Victoria Track Package:

This allows the athlete to compete in an AVSL round at any venue throughout Victoria.

Click here to purchase this package from Athletics Victoria.

Yes, of course. for athletes not wishing to purchase an AV or Ballarat track package, you may enter a single round of AVSL.

To enter a round in Ballarat, click here.

To enter a round at another venue, a payment option will be made available when entering via Athletics Victoria entry portal.

EVENT FAQs

What do I do if I have an event clash

Step 1) Look at the timetable

We understand the timetable might not suit everyone and clashes may occur. If you do enter events on at the same time, try and prepare

Step 2) Head to your Field Event First

Arrive at your allocated event 5 minutes before start time (earlier if you want to do a warm up)

Let the chief official know if you are going to a track event during the allocated field sheet time

Step 3) Track Event

Attend your track event at allocated time and finish your race. You MUST head straight back to your field event post race

Notes

Please be advised, the official will support athletes however they can but if the round of attempts has passed while you are at another event, you may lose an attempt at the field event

Always let an official know when you are leaving and arriving back at an event site

Athletes can enter up to 4 events and a relay each round of the AVSL season. These can be spread across either track or event events with all entries completed by 11:59am the Wednesday PRIOR to the event.
Non-members can enter two rounds of AVSL in Ballarat before needing to sign up as a full member with a club. Non-members can register as invitational members by filling out the form on the Athletics Victoria website (Insert Here) and paying an entry fee
To enter more than two rounds, you MUST then become a member of one of the senior clubs
